Storagely

Branding & web development on a tight deadline

We were approached by a company looking to set up a business that offered self-storage solutions. They were looking to have this done on an accelerated timeline, which would start by needing a name for the company, a complete brand identity and launch of the new website.

Our primary goal was to create a modern, trustworthy digital presence that would effectively communicate their services for personal, business, and household storage. All of this had to be done within the deadline and without compromising on quality.

Crafting the identity

As the business was new, it had no pre-existing assets, so we had a blank slate with which to start with, this included coming up with the name.

Coming up with a name

Our project began with the vital task of creating a brand that was both memorable and relevant to the business. Our team brainstormed a range of different ideas, conceptualising and refining them until we landed on the name; “Storagely”, a modern and friendly name that instantly conveys the company’s core service.

Developing the brand

Following the naming, we moved directly into brand design. We developed a visual identity that was clean, trustworthy, and approachable. This included:

The initial concepts
We explored four options, all of which conveyed a friendly and professional feel.

The brand palette
We tested a variety of different colour combinations and eventually settled on a primary set of black and yellow to communicate security and professionalism. The black, accented by a vibrant yellow helped the brand stand out.

Brand assets
To ensure brand consistency, we developed a comprehensive logopack, detailed brand guidelines, and stationery designs.

Building the website

With the initial naming and branding done and signed off by the Storagely team, we transitioned to designing and developing a custom website.

Bespoke WordPress, speed at the core

We chose to use WordPress as the platform, for its robust flexibility. Our team also has a vast range of experience, designing and building WordPRess websites, which has helped us hone the process to efficiently create a website within the timeline and without compromising on the quality.

Critically, our development strategy focused on maximising performance. We guaranteed a site that is fully responsive across all devices and heavily optimised to achieve a high Google PageSpeed score. This commitment to front-end performance ensured that Storagely’s customers continue to receive a fast, seamless, and reliable user experience.

Custom Imagery and Illustrations

A key component of the new website was the custom imagery designed to simplify and visually represent the services offered.

We developed a bespoke icon set that aligns with the brand’s visual identity. These were to highlight key parts of the content and we also created unique illustrations to accompany service descriptions.

We utilised simple shapes, along with the core brand colors to create icons that clearly communicate the storage options and services. This imagery not only enhanced the overall design but also helped visitors quickly grasp what Storagely offers, keeping the visuals on-brand, simple, and effective.

Quick Turnaround, Complete Solution

The project’s success was defined by our ability to move from initial concept to a complete brand and website in a remarkably quick timeframe, without compromising on the quality of the project.

The rapid turnaround allowed Storagely to establish its online presence and begin serving customers efficiently. The final website, along with its new branding, provides a professional and user-friendly platform that effectively showcases its services and give the company a strong foothold in the self-storage market.
